THM 440-T4 - Upper Channel Plate Gasket Connected

There has been a new Upper Channel Plate Gasket released that connects the modulator port gasket and upper channel plate gasket together. This change was implemented to help prevent misassembly of the gaskets during the assembly process (See Figure 1).

The new upper channel plate gasket will retro fit back to 85 l/2 hydraulics only, because of the absence of one dam in the gasket. The previous design gaskets may still be used.

SPECIAL NOTE: DO NOT USE THE NEW GASKET ON 1985 HYDRAULICS.

THM 440-T4 - 2nd Clutch Lip Seal Change

CHANGE: Revised 2nd Clutch Piston Inner Lip Seal.

REASON: (1) 2nd Clutch Inner Lip Seal - The new 2nd clutch inner lip seal is made from a different material than the previous lip seal. The new seal is a "Viton" seal and can be easily identified by its part number (8668074) moulded into the lip of the seal (See Figure 2).

INTERCHANGEABILITY:
Will retro fit back to all previous models, and is highly recommended.
